By downloading, installing, or using CardMax ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
CardMax is a free informational tool that displays your cards sorted by their listed rate so you can compare them across spending categories. The App may filter results based on your chosen reward type preference (Cash Back or Points), which is selected during onboarding and can be changed using the Cash Back / Points toggle on the Recommend screen. CardMax is not a financial institution, card issuer, or licensed financial advisor.
The information provided by CardMax is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, or credit advice. You should not rely solely on alerts shown by the App when making financial decisions. Always verify current card rates and terms directly with your card issuer before making purchase decisions.
While we strive to keep card rate information accurate, CardMax makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed in the App. Card rates, terms, and conditions are subject to change by card issuers at any time without notice to us.
Merchant partner offers are coming soon. Offers shown in the app are illustrative examples demonstrating how the feature will work. They do not represent active promotions or guarantees of discounts or transaction outcomes. Always confirm details directly with the merchant.
CardMax is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any bank, card issuer, or payment network including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Citi, or Chase.

CardMax displays cards sorted by their listed rate for comparison only. Card rates, categories, and terms may change at any time by the card issuer and may not always reflect the latest updates.
CardMax does not guarantee reward earnings, savings, or financial outcomes. Always verify card rates and benefits directly with your card issuer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardMax and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost rewards, inaccurate card alerts, or reliance on information displayed in the App.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
You may stop using CardMax at any time by uninstalling the App. Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the App typically removes locally stored app data from your device. Location checks for nearby spending categories are not retained after use.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
CardMax includes optional location-based features to check for nearby merchant categories and provide smart alerts. Location access is entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time in the app or device settings. Location data is not retained, used for tracking, profiling, or identity association.
CardMax also uses your device's motion sensor to tell whether you are walking or driving. This helps avoid sending notifications while you are moving quickly. Motion data is used to support app functionality, processed entirely on-device, and is not retained or shared.
